The St. Paul Settee is a custom bench that was designed for a couple in Minnesota who regularly host music performances in their home. The couple requested that we “create a two-person bench that suggests conversation between two people who don’t know each other. Here in Minnesota, that distance is arm’s length.” This handmade “not-so-love-seat” is the perfect complement for any space where you entertain, such as your sitting room or an office waiting room.

We worked closely with the Minnesota couple for this piece, as it’s the first of its kind for us. We used figured California Walnut, hand-driven, fluted dowels to ensure durable construction, and ergonomic, curved and flexible back slats for comfort.
