With its low arms that can slide beneath a desk, this chair was designed for an office but its posture is appropriate for dining and occasional seating. Hard maple and leather The red of the bubinga backrests complements the bleached maple of this set. Both chairs and table are made with through-tenon joinery.

This chair, inspired by a three-legged farm chair I saw in Hallingdal, Norway, was designed for Wim and Pauly van Muyden. Designed as a dining chair, it also works as an occasional chair or desk chair. It looks good made with a single wood, or with the seat in one kind of wood and the frame in another. Walnut and quilted maple blend wonderfully. Three museums have acquired the van Muyden Chair for their permanent collections.
